Trump Appoints RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to Transition Team

Campaign Event

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, once prominent Democrats, have recently joined former President Donald Trump's transition team, as confirmed by the campaign to Vibrant Reports.

“President Trump’s coalition of supporters continues to grow across party lines, and we are thrilled to welcome Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” stated Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the Trump campaign, in an announcement to Vibrant Reports.

“We eagerly anticipate their influential contributions as we strive to restore America’s greatness,” Hughes added.

Kennedy, who was a recent contender against Trump in the presidential race and previously criticized by Trump, along with Gabbard, the former congresswoman from Hawaii who left the Democratic Party following her 2020 presidential bid, have both recently pledged their support for Trump.

It remains unclear what specific roles Kennedy and Gabbard will assume within the Trump-Vance transition team.

Leading the transition efforts are several of Trump’s family members and major supporters, including former U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Linda McMahon, billionaire and Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, running mate Sen. JD Vance, and Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

On Monday, Gabbard joined Trump on the campaign trail in Detroit, where she also endorsed him. She is set to join him again later this week in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where she will moderate a town hall. Gabbard has been assisting Trump in his preparations for the upcoming debate against Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10, according to previous statements made to Vibrant Reports.

In a Monday interview on X, Kennedy revealed to Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, that Trump had invited him to join the transition team should he win the presidency this fall.

“I’ve been asked to participate in the transition team and help select the individuals who will be leading the government,” Kennedy shared.

Following the suspension of his campaign on Friday, Kennedy endorsed Trump and announced he would withdraw his candidacy in states where his continued presence could potentially hinder Trump’s campaign.
